CBI Bank & Trust Sponsors Free Supplies for Non-Profits

CBI Bank & Trust’s sponsorship and generosity enabled the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine to provide over $30,000 worth of supplies to nonprofits throughout Muscatine and Louisa Counties this year through their NAIER program. “The Community Foundation has organized and brought the NAEIR program to our community for over 16 years,” said Lynsey Krusie, Director of Marketing. “We are grateful for CBI Bank & Trust who has been a long-time supporter and sponsor of the program making the supplies free to participating nonprofits. A program like this helps nonprofits reduce operational expenses, which gives them more capacity to directly support their missions.”

Organizations that requested supplies include Wilton Public Library, Muscatine Center for Social Action, Muscatine Legal Services, Muscatine Community YMCA, Muscatine County Amateur Radio Emergency Services, National Pearl Button Museum, Flickinger Learning Center, Letts Public Library, West Liberty Child Care Center, and Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

“We are proud to continue our support and commitment to providing essential supplies to location organizations,” said Bob Howard, President and CEO, CBI Bank & Trust.

Located in Galesburg, Illinois, the National Association for the Exchange of Industrial Resources (NAEIR) supports communities by collecting surplus merchandise from corporations such as 3M, Rubbermaid, and Paper Mate. NAEIR then sorts, organizes, and photographs the merchandise so it can be published in their catalog and offered to member schools, churches, and nonprofits. The supplies are intended to be used for charitable purposes serving those in need.
