With a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF), you can make tax-deductible gifts to your fund and recommend grants to nonprofits over time — giving you the flexibility to be thoughtful and strategic about your generosity while amplifying your impact.

At the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine, we see donor-advised funds as more than a charitable giving tool. They can provide an opportunity to involve family in philanthropy, respond to changing community needs, and create a lasting charitable legacy.

For Donna Reed, establishing a donor-advised fund was also a way to honor the memory of her late husband, Maurice Reed, while continuing her charitable giving. “Maurice was an involved member of our community for many years. I want our family to carry on his legacy of helping worthy causes,” said Donna.

Whether you are looking for a simple way to organize your charitable giving, want to involve your family in philanthropy, or hope to create a lasting legacy, a donor-advised fund can offer the flexibility to make your generosity more intentional and impactful.
