Mulberry Health Clinic 

In coordination with UnityPoint Health - Trinity Muscatine and the Muscatine Health Support Fund, the Community Foundation is leading a $20 million project to build a new three floor, 42,000 square-foot health clinic facility that is operated by UnityPoint Health and connected to UnityPoint Health - Trinity Muscatine Hospital, providing easy client access and service delivery for emergent issues, prescribed in-patient and out-patient services, lab, and radiology needs.

Project Goals

Maintain a safe facility for health care professionals to practice and patients to receive their care.

Improve the ability to recruit and retain health care professionals to our rural community.

Ensure continued local presence of quality primary health care.

Latest Update

The project is in the final phase of pre-construction design with groundbreaking scheduled for this summer. Russel Construction was selected as the General Contractor and has a vast portfolio of projects completed in the healthcare clinic market. The proposed timeline has construction sitework beginning this June and substantial completion in December 2024.

More than $13 million in philanthropic funds have been pledged and donated to the project. Fundraising efforts continue to offset the $20 million building project.
